TAKE THE PARKING CHALLENGE!
The expansion of the Kitchener Public Library results in the loss of a handy parking option for Registry Theatre patrons. But hey! It still beats Toronto!
Here's your guide to finding a place to park.
Frederick and Spetz Street, directly across from the Registry, is a surface lot owned by the Galleria building that charges a flat $5 after 6pm
Market Square garage at Duke and Scott is open at night with a rate of $1.50/half hour
Metered street parking is available on Roy and Ahrens Streets, off Weber Street across from the KPL.
City of Kitchener parking options
Lot 4 is no longer available due to KPL construction
Lot 2 at Queen and Goudies Lane, is free after 6pm
Lot 19 at Queen and Ahrens near Centre in the Square, is free after 6pm UNLESS there is an event at the Centre, in which case there is a flat fee of $7
Lot 14 accessible from Frederick Street by the Centre in the Square is free after 6pm UNLESS there is an event at the Centre, in which case there is a flat fee of $7
Duke and Ontario parking garage charges $3 for the first 3 hours and $1.50 per ½ hour up to a $10 maximum, 24 hours a day
Prefer to take the bus? Grand River Transit route 8 stops at Queen and Weber, right around the corner from the theatre.
